Kita Aoyama D Clinic offers the latest and the most effective treatment for any type of varicose veins
Many people have abandoned the treatment of varicose veins because the surgery normally requires hospitalization, general anesthesia, and long recovery time. Also, some patients have a fear of having significant scarring or pains and other potential risks such as complications.
However, at Kita Aoyama D Clinic, you will find no reason to postpone the treatment of varicose veins because we offer the latest and the most effective treatment for any type of varicose veins. One of the most popular treatments at our clinic is laser treatment. This is because laser treatment is virtually pain-free, and in fact, the quickest and the most effective treatment for varicose veins. And what's more, you can return to your normal life on the same day as you have the treatment.
Since the late 1990s, several therapies including sclerotheraphy, radiofrequency, and endovenous lasers have been provided as an alternative to vein stripping. In order to choose the best treatment for you, it is essential to understand the treatment options available and the differences among these treatments. The three types of therapies mentioned above are detailed as follows:
Sclerotherapy
In this procedure, the sclerosing agent is injected into the varicose veins. This sclerotherapy can successfully treat small veins visible under the skin but for larger, bulging varicose veins, it has only 50% success rates. Potential side effects include blood clots, pain, and skin discoloration that can last for up to one year.
Radiofrequency
In this treatment, heats generated from radiofrequency (RF) electric current obliterate varicose veins. Due to safety limit of applicablee heat, veins of certain size cannot be treated with RF. This procedure may not appropriate for larger veins.
Endovenous laser
This procedure uses light waves to eliminate varicose veins. Thanks to this latest technology available today, endovenous medical lasers can treat various size of varicose veins.
There are several different laser treatments. The laser's wave length is the most critical factor that determines the overall success of endovenous laser treatment. Kita Aoyama D Clinic employs the endovenous laser of 1320 nm wavelength which is considered to be the most comfortable and the most effective laser treatment for varicose veins. You may experience a small pain or mild complications after operation. Our reports show that the success rate is 98-100 %. The following is the advantages of Endovenous laser.
- THE ADVANTAGES OF ENDOVENOUS LASER
- The most comfortable procedure available
- Rapid relief of symptoms

Alternatively, Kita Aoyama D Clinic uses Mydon long-pulsed ND: YAG laser. YAG laser can be used for smaller varicose veins with a diameter of less than 3mm. For varicose veins of less than 1mm in diameter, we use Intensive Pulse Light (IPL) for the best results.

Women and those whose job requires standing all day tend to develop varicose veins
There used to be no effective treatment other than stripping surgery, which required 1-2 weeks of hospitalization. Recently, however, there have been a variety of treatments, including sclerotherapy and other high-tech surgical treatments, have become available.
In response to patients needs, more and more medical institutions offer treatment options that do not require a hospital stay.
Surgery for saphenous varicose veins, or veins in the groin or knee area, requires hospitalization for more than a day in order to heal the wound after surgical stripping in most medical institutions. However, with a combination of improved surgical operation techniques and sclerotherapy, day surgery has become possible even for the operation for saphenous varicose veins.
This means that all types of varicose veins can be treated without hospital stay. Economy-Class Syndrome is to get blood clots - in deep veins that affect the lungs or other areas after long flights.
